Nampo Harvest Day

16 May 2014

Arysta LifeScience was again one of the 650+ exhibitors at Grain SA’s 48th Nampo Harvest Day which was held in Bothaville, Orange Free State from the 13th – 16th May. This year’s theme was around the concept of a new generation agri-partner.

Arysta LifeScience also took a different direction with this year’s exhibition and instead of focusing on grain their focus was on the non-crop section, namely IVM (Industrial Vegetative Management) which is an extensive range of products and services for non-crop land, forestry, industrial and conservations areas. The focus was mainly on 3 products, BUNDU® SC, KILOMAX® and KAPUT® GEL.
The response was overwhelming, with queries on the cleaning up of game farm fence lines to the killing of aquatic weeds. “I think we had more serious enquiries in the first two days of NAMPO 2014 than we had in a whole week in the 9 years that I had been involved with the show, this proves that it was the right decision to focus on non-crop weed control rather than the traditional crop business as 95% of the queries were about bush and fences”, said Ferdie Jordaan, Technical Manager – IVM.
Nampo is one of the largest privately organised and owned exhibitions in the world and the largest show of agricultu- ral machinery and livestock in the southern hemisphere. Organised by Grain SA, it provides a unique opportunity to all manufacturers and distributors of agricultural machinery, products and services to exhibit as well as demonstrate their vast range of products to their targeted customers – the farmers of South Africa. The new exhibition area that was commissioned this year is drawing considerable interest and supports the strategy of ensuring a more even distribution of visitors across the grounds.
The NAMPO Agricultural Trade Show is dynamic. It adapts to the ever-changing needs of farmers and exhibitors initially targeted only at maize farmers, today embraces all farmers.
